About me
My name is Pierre Laub, I was born in 1989 in Saarland (Germany) and have been working as a software developer in an international startup for many years. Besides my enthusiasm for technology and product development, I am defined by my passion for endurance sports, movement, and creativity – from triathlon to skateboarding and film/photo projects.
Endurance Sports & Movement
My athletic journey began in 2015 after a long time playing handball when I completed my first triathlon. Since then, endurance sports haven't let me go. I love the balance between structured training planning and the mental peace that long sessions bring.
Whether running in the forest, cycling in the mountains, or in open water – for me, the focus is on the joy of movement and continuous development, not just chasing personal bests.
Skateboarding – The Creative Side of Sports
A few years ago, I rediscovered my old passion for skateboarding. For me, it is a counter-pole to the structured training world – spontaneous, playful, creative. I enjoy learning new tricks, building small DIY obstacles, and simply having fun with the movement – completely without performance pressure.
Profession & Technology
Professionally, I work as a Fullstack Developer focusing on modern frontend frameworks like Vue and Angular as well as backend technologies like C#, .NET, PHP, and Node.js.
I love translating complex ideas into clear, intuitive applications and implementing projects that connect technology with real user experiences. I find the interfaces between sports, data, and technology particularly exciting – such as tools for training analysis or route visualization.
Photo & Film Production
My passion for sports has also sparked an interest in photo and video production. I regularly film and edit short clips about triathlon, running, and skateboarding – from training moments to race days to creative short projects.
It's less about perfection for me, but about capturing movement and atmosphere authentically. With a camera, gimbal, or GoPro, I like to experiment to tell sporting stories in a modern, emotional way.
Motivation
I am motivated by the combination of curiosity, movement, and creativity – in sports as well as in my profession. Whether coding, on the bike, or with the camera: I love designing things, learning new skills, and finding my own flow.
